In the past we have heard people complain about cold rooms on the North side of the house.  It's never an insulation factor, because I inspect all installations as well as the building inspector.  Not that we are infallable, but the chance that we both miss it is zero.  Builders have been forced to make the homes air tight but air has to flow in through the insulation and that air is what keeps the house warm.  The key is to keep it in the wall as best as we can.

We just had our gas Dryer and dishwasher serviced from Mario at Northern Appliance Parts & Service.  Call him by the way at 905-476-1314 - he's trustworthy and fair and we've used him before.  It wasn't heating up properly.  Mario took off the front cover (which by the way the Sears guy did not do).  Much to my surprise the enormous amount of lint that was in there had signs of being on fire!  There were charred pieces of lint evident - that was a bit of a shocker!  I mean I had heard that fires are caused by dryers but you don't really think

Our community at the south end of Lake Simcoe is growing at a nice rate.  We hear that the big box stores have cleared final hurdles to continue building at Glenwoods and Ravenshoe in Georgina.  (Too bad they couldn't get the YMCA for all the kids and families though.)

A new development on the water might move forward also.  There is supposed to be a hotel, quaint shops, and waterfront condos.  It would be a great addition to this community.  It's located near the sub shop on Queensway.

Well, we've been waiting a long time for the 404 highway to come up to us and we've heard many dates when it'll be here.  The latest is by the end of 2012.  The ministry of Transportation told members of council on Monday according to the Georgina Advocate.  That will help all property values around here.  How many Towns do you know that have full services including water, sewer, gas, hi speed cable, but no highway!  Not many.  What a great opportunity to buy before the prices increase.
